General Advocacy Resources If you are representing a child and/or advocating for his or her educational rights, there are many helpful internet resources. Advocates for Children's own information and publications might serve as a good starting point for information and background on specific educational rights and laws. For very recent information on educational law, the New York State School Board Association Library includes updated documents on recent decisions of the state and federal courts regarding schools and education. The Office of State Review's website contains information about the appeals process, as well as previous State Review Office decisions. EDLAW is a large resource, containing full texts of statutes, regulations, and administrative interpretations. The Western New York Law Center also has many legal resources, including a searchable database of both state and federal statutes and regulations. The National Center on Poverty Law is a poverty law research service with extensive resources and publictions. The Equal Justice Network is a good site for articles and resources pertaining to technology and state level advocacy.
