    Richard's Story

    Richard was struggling to finish his last few high school credits and remaining Regents exams to graduate. AFC successfully advocated for tutoring, assistive technology, and testing accommodations that helped Richard cross the finish line and earn his diploma!

    George was a junior with no history of disciplinary reprimands, but when noticed graffiti in the bathroom and informed the school safety officer, he was hand-cuffed, arrested, and suspended from school.

Protect Essential Education Programs From Funding Cuts

The Governor’s Executive Budget proposal would result in NYC getting $130 million less from the State than it would receive under the previously used funding formula. Email your representatives in Albany and tell them to reject this change and include a substantial increase in education funding in the final budget!
