Al-Yasid is a young man on the autism spectrum who graduated from high school in 2013 after years of hard work. He was the 2014 recipient of AFC's Education Champion Award.

Angelisa was 18 years old and stuck in the 8th grade when her mother called AFC's Helpline.

Asha and Ayanna are twin sisters and talented artists who recently graduated from college, thanks to AFC's help in securing appropriate school placements when they were younger. They were the 2015 recipients of AFC's Education Champion Award.

Omar’s mother first called AFC’s Helpline for assistance when Omar was a 13-year-old seventh grader without a school to attend at the start of the school year.

Richard is a student with a disability who needed the right supports in place to finish his last few graduation requirements.

Ruben was referred to AFC in his second year in high school when his guidance counselor declared that success at school was “unattainable for Ruben,” although he was attending regularly and staying out of trouble.
